Chausson Dulion
If you’re in between sizes, size down.
Please note at checkout if you know yourself to have wide feet.
The Chausson Dulion takes its shape from the soft, flat evening slippers worn for balls, dinners and formal occasions in the mid 19th century.
Unlike the heeled shoe, these slippers were built with an exceptionally light and supple construction, sitting close to the foot and often finished in silk, with ribbons, rosettes or delicate ornamentation. Their almost weightless appearance was part of their elegance: a shoe designed less around structure than around movement.
Our version preserves that distinctive silhouette — the low vamp, elongated line, silk upper and ribbon ties — while reworking it as a shoe to be worn today.
Made in Tuscany from French silk and finished with our signature rosette in Paris.
The silk itself comes from Veraseta in Charlieu, France, a maison that has been weaving silk in the Loire since the early 20th century. We treat the silk to repel water so your Souliers can handle a mild rain.
Our Souliers correspond to French sizing.
