HOW TO MEASURE

Place a sheet of paper on the floor, against a wall or a book.
Stand on it, heel touching the wall or the book, weight on both feet.
Mark the tip of your longest toe, then measure from the edge of the paper to the mark. Measure both feet and keep the longer one.

Le Chausson Dulion s’inspire des souliers de soirée souples et plats que l’on portait au milieu du XIXe siècle lors des bals, des dîners et des grandes occasions.

Contrairement aux souliers à talon, ces chaussons étaient conçus dans une construction particulièrement légère et souple, épousant le pied au plus près. Ils étaient souvent réalisés en soie et agrémentés de rubans, de rosettes ou d’ornements délicats. Leur apparente légèreté faisait partie de leur élégance : un soulier pensé moins autour de la structure que du mouvement.

Notre version préserve cette silhouette singulière — décolleté bas, ligne allongée, empeigne en soie et liens en ruban — tout en la réinterprétant pour être portée aujourd’hui.

Fabriqué en Toscane à partir de soie française et orné à Paris de notre rosette signature.

Anatomy of the souliers

Each pair is a collaboration between two important regions. The design begins in Paris, at the Bourgine atelier near the Luxembourg Gardens, where a team of women sews each rosette. The shoes are then assembled in a small family-run workshop in Tuscany, resting on the shoulders of generations of shoemaking. Each pair is cut and made to order, passing through only a few skilled hands, using the highest-quality components.

The silk itself comes from Veraseta in Charlieu, France, a maison that has been weaving silk in the Loire since the early 20th century and works with the most prestigious French institutions: Le Ritz, the Élysée Palace, the Château de Fontainebleau... We treat the silk to repel water so your Souliers can handle a mild rain.
