HOW TO MEASURE

Place a sheet of paper on the floor, against a wall or a book.
Stand on it, heel touching the wall or the book, weight on both feet.
Mark the tip of your longest toe, then measure from the edge of the paper to the mark. Measure both feet and keep the longer one.

Réinterprétation contemporaine du soulier de bal du XIXe siècle, ces Souliers sont fabriqués à la main dans un petit atelier en Toscane, en Italie.

Chaque paire est découpée et confectionnée à la commande, c’est pourquoi nous vous demandons un mois : chaque soulier passe entre les mains de plusieurs artisans, de la découpe de la soie aux finitions de la semelle, sans raccourci ni compromis.

Nos Souliers conservent leur forme ancienne, tout en étant dotés d’une semelle intérieure matelassée qui vous permet de les porter confortablement toute la journée, et toute la nuit.

Anatomy of the souliers

Each pair is a collaboration between two important regions. The design begins in Paris, at the Bourgine atelier near the Luxembourg Gardens, where a team of women sews each rosette. The shoes are then assembled in a small family-run workshop in Tuscany, resting on the shoulders of generations of shoemaking. Each pair is cut and made to order, passing through only a few skilled hands, using the highest-quality components.

The silk itself comes from Veraseta in Charlieu, France, a maison that has been weaving silk in the Loire since the early 20th century and works with the most prestigious French institutions: Le Ritz, the Élysée Palace, the Château de Fontainebleau... We treat the silk to repel water so your Souliers can handle a mild rain.

The heel is a 45 mm wooden heel, shaped by hand. On a wooden floor it makes the same soft, distinctive sound it did two hundred years ago.
